Just An Age

Ahman Green isn't worried about the big three-oh. He turned 30 in February, usually the age when NFL running backs hit the brakes.
But Green signed a four-year, $23 million contract with the Houston Texans with plans for his seventh career 1,000-yard season.
"I guess it'll be considered special because I'll be 30 and then over 30," Green said in a telephone interview.... Everybody else looks at it as an age when a running back can't be productive. I don't believe that."
Fred Taylor turned 30 last season and rushed for 1,146 yards. Tiki Barber had 1,860 rushing yards after his 30th birthday and 1,662 last year when he was 31. Warrick Dunn has rushed for 1,416 and 1,140 yards after turning 30.
