Former Nebraska I-back and Omaha native Ahman Green will be inducted into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame, the team announced Tuesday.

The induction ceremony will take place July 19, 2014, at Lambeau Field.

Green, an Omaha Central graduate, won two national titles at Nebraska and ranks second on the Huskers’ career rushing list with 3,880 yards on 574 carries. He was a second-team All-American in 1997.

Green, a 1998 third-round draft pick for Seattle, played for Green Bay from 2000 to 2006 and again in 2009, becoming the club’s all-time leading rusher with 8,322 yards. He holds franchise records for most yards from scrimmage (11,048), 1,000-yard seasons (six), 100-yard games (33) and rushing attempts (1,851), and was a five-time NFL Pro Bowl selection.
