Aliases:"Batman." "Soylent." "Putting."

Description: 6-0, 217 pounds.... Last seen transforming the Eagles' front seven into turnstiles, rushing for a then-record 192 yards in their regular-season meeting.... Can probably be found before Sunday's game watching "Pure Payton." Viewing the film, which highlights the greatest gallops in the career of his idol, Walter Payton, has become part of Green's pregame ritual. Given the success he's had the last four seasons, Philadelphia-area video stores would be wise to hide their copies, forcing the back instead to rent something like "Isolated Izzy - The Legendary Runs of Israel Lang."

Infractions:This Batman-lover may show up at Lincoln Financial Field with his Batmobile's tank near empty. Green carried the ball 355 times this season and caught another 50 passes. That's a stunning 405 touches. Last week, before the Packers' wild-card meeting with Seattle, he admitted that he was weary. That may explain why his numbers in that game (23 carries for 66 yards) were subpar. He still managed to score a pair of short-yardage touchdowns, a particular specialty.... As those who watched the Packers' Monday night loss to Philadelphia will recall, he continues to fumble occasionally. But seven fumbles, losing five, isn't bad for a guy who carries the load Green does, despite what sour, old Jim Taylor, the ex-Packers star who criticized him for that recently, has to say.

Why wanted:Forget about Favre and the motivation provided by his father's recent death. Green is the guy Eagles fans ought to be worried about.... He broke nine Packers rushing records this year and may have been the NFL's top back over the last four seasons. His 1,883 yards on the ground this season smashed Taylor's ancient mark by better than 400 yards.... He also has a knack for reaching the end zone, having scored a club-record 20 times in 2003 - 15 on rushes, five on pass receptions.... A solid, tough-minded blue-collar back, he figures to be at his best in the kind of difficult situation his Packers will face Sunday.
